Wedding Invitation Etiquette

Your invites are one of the most important factors in your wedding planning process. It’s a chance to showcase your style and theme, but also the time to give details and information about your special day. Couples often ask about the time frame as to when the invitations should go out to their guests.

Traditionally, invitations should go out six to eight weeks before the wedding. This gives your guests plenty of time to clear their schedules and make travel arrangements if necessary. For destination weddings, it’s best to send them out three months ahead of time. You can also send out save-the-dates six to eight months before the wedding date. Your RSVP date can be two to three weeks before your wedding date to allow enough time for you to get a final head count to the caterer or venue and also to finalize your seating chart.
