Ah yes, decorating. Those times in life when I wish I had an expendable income to decorate my new living space any way my heart desires. Where even the smallest accessories are completely thought through. Right down to their shape, size, color, and texture. What you'll see below are breathtaking pieces from Zara Home. All of these pieces have been selected for my "Lady Cave". Yes, I will have a Lady Cave. Where my friends and I can relax around beautiful surroundings and chat about life, fashion, world events, politics, makeup, our careers and our life ambitions. When it comes to my style with interior decorating (as well as fashion and makeup) I prefer soft neutral tones with a play on structure, lighting, and texture. I'm not a huge color person. Never have been, never will be. I want my Lady Cave to feel serene and peaceful, yet elegant and high-end. Even if nothing I own is actually high-end. When it comes to the larger furniture pieces, I want to blend white modern touches with black vintage/Gothic touches. Example: my Crate and Barrel desk is tall, thin, simple, straight, and white. For my computer chair, I'm thinking something dark with a black leather pin cushion and dramatic, detail oriented black Gothic framing, legs, and arms. Ya dig?I want the rug to be either simple and modern, or simple with detailed designs. All of my accessories will have lots of texture and embody elements such as jewels and metallic shines. Gold, silver, diamonds, odd shapes, soft pillows, exotic pillows, and at least one skull pillow. How can I not?
