Tim Noyes Paints a Picture with Patterns [video Premiere]

While this may be his first jump into solo material, after three years as the front man for folk band Aunt Martha, Tim Noyes isn’t new to the scene. What is new, however – brand spankin’ new in fact (like video premiere new) – are the visuals for his latest single “Patterns”.

“Patterns is a video about time, how it passes, and the oft asked question of whether we’d do anything differently if we knew how much of it we had left. Filmed over the course of three months in Canada, China, India, Colombia and along both coasts of the United States, this video was a true collaborative effort. Filmmaker friends from around the world lent their time and talents in support of the project, and the result is the striking combination of scenes and characters set thoughtfully to the movements of the song.”

This interesting concept is well-executed and a great partner to the music itself — “Patterns” most certainly feels like a song about reflecting on your life and the important people who shape it. The track’s mood is peaceful and reassuring while simultaneously expressing a sense of urgency to move forward.
