Thumpers Return with a New Track Feat. Jena Malone [stream]

THUMPERS only just presented us with their undeniable debut, Galore, earlier this year and already are back in action with a forthcoming EP, the first single of which was just released. “Devotee” isn’t as immediate as most of the songs on their debut, but the even-tempered pacing is delicious with beautiful guest vocals from Jena Malone (!) coming in right after a minute. There’s a suppressed passion about the track that makes us anticipate an explosion after the break, but instead they return with even more lush, layered phrasing to finish it out. “Devotee” is the leading single off their upcoming Together EP.
