For my first post of the New Year last year I shared my tips on how to make a dress a workhorse in your closet. I quite like the word workhorse because, to me, if means that something you are wearing is giving you so much value that it practically owes you money for the amount of wear you get from it. While not everything in your wardrobe will ever be a workhorse, I think you need a few good stalwart pieces that you can rely on to get the job done.
