Excited by the building blocks of language? The Expect Labs office has its share of linguistics nerds, and often while reading industry news, really great resources and articles come to the fore. Here are a few discoveries:

- Professor Patricia Kuhl, language acquisition specialist at the University of Washington, gives a fantastic TED talk on babies “taking statistics” of the sounds they need to know.
- Great article on the difficulties of cross-language pluralization in JavaScript. “Things that seem straightforward are often anything but.”
