Summer is fading fast, and for many folks this weekend is the last travel hurrah of the year. Hopefully, you got away and had a chance to explore a new part of the world. As the calendar flips to September, the global map begins to be dominated by those symbols signifying hurricanes. As the path of Hurricane Isaac showed us this week, the next month will be a time of uncertainty for travelers headed to the Caribbean; this is already proving to be a very active hurricane season. Tribune Media Services’ Ed Perkins has some advice if you’ve scheduled a trip into the Hurricane Zone.

Shanghai is becoming a very interesting experiment, of sorts, in how healthcare is delivered. The city has seen a dramatic increase in the number of expatriates living there, but there has been a general distrust of the local medical community.
