This Day in Baseball: The First Grand Slam

On September 10, 1881, Roger Connor of the Troy Trojans became the first major leaguer to hit a grand slam.  The first baseman’s four-run dinger came in the bottom of the ninth inning with two outs to give the Trojans a 7-4 walk-off victory over the Worcester Ruby Legs.
