Story: Thirst starts when Jose (Villalobos) and his wife Lucy (Kovacevich) find themselves struggling to sleep at night. Their insomnia is spreading and tension between the two has been rising. Elsewhere, Vicky (Rangel) and Lisa (Slayton) have been having their own problems.

However, they are not alone and now the small town learns that their water supply has been infected. Now, the residents are facing a battle to get better as their symptoms are getting worse.

Verdict on Thirst

Thirst is a thriller following two couples trying to survive a water shortage that has been causing devasting insomnia consequences. They must overcome their own personal problems as well as the threats from the outside.

This is a thriller that looks to show the worst in people. It shows how a small emergency can cause chaos and panic. However, it fails to show us the pure scale of the situation, as in how far the crisis spread. By failing to show this, we are left in a position where we aren’t sure about the decision-making processes going on throughout the movie. The movie ends up lacking enough direction to get the full impact of what is going on in the surrounding environment. It ends up feeling a lot like a less gory Cabin Fever.

Final Thoughts Thirst fails to capture the urgency of what is going on in this world.
