Remember my last post? Well, Monday was one of those days where everything went right, and that hasn't happened in a while! I had my last deadline until New Year, got a First and a 2:1 in my first official assignments of the year AND got a placement all in the space of a day, so I was a stupidly happy Kelli. We then had our Medical Science Society social in the evening at my favorite all you can eat restaurant, Za Za Bazaar (yeah, I've mentioned it a few times, but it is well worth a visit if you're ever in Bristol!) The meal was free as the SU pay for society socials, so I made sure to gorge on as much free food (and mulled wine) as possible. Afterwards we went to a few bars near the harbourside and safe to say, I was a pretty jolly drunk.
Now there's loads of Christmas meals, a work night out & birthday parties to look forward to, Secret Santas to buy for... and my mom is coming down to do some Christmas shopping with me next week. Phew! I was pretty scared when the usual festive feeling didn't come over me at the beginning of the month, but once all my deadline sand whatnot were out the way, I was back to my usual 'ermahgerd it's almost Christmas!' self. I even have 10% staff discount at Primark...which I've already used on the rather awesome hat I'm wearing ;)
I hope you're all getting into the festive spirit too and haven't had too much trouble shopping - work has been absolutely manic the past couple of weeks!
