I've only been familiar with Akouo for a few weeks now, but I've become addicted to his work. His latest remix is of Thief's "Closer," which he flips into a synth and electronic heavy affair (Thief labels it bleepstep on his Soundcloud, which is accurate). Then within that, he has some excellently placed vocal samples that compliment the futuristic synth sounds. It's enough to make the track different, but also done well so that fans of the original can appreciate this remix as well. Stream and download below.
