These Past Weeks, a Nars Dupe for a Bright Blue and Make-up Classes.

By Aninafish @aninafish

The thing with Nars collections is that their latest bright single eyeshadow usually gets me. And they're slightly above a thousand pesos which isn't entirely ideal. So I usually spend the first couple of nights after seeing the ads mixing and testing on the side of my hand to check if i can find a duplicate without spending the dough.

And because of Outremer (see entry before this,) I've been obsessed with a bright blue. I found a MUD alternative called midnight which is a satin finish, and is a bit grayer (so more wearable)—i bought it as a refill so it was maybe PhP500 at PurBeauty. I wore it to the Incubus concert but didn't really use any base on it so it faded by the end of the concert (yes, incubus, what of it?!)

But I think I found it:

I'd like you all to meet Kryolan's Night Sky (PhP500 to 600ish.) It's fabulously matte, a bright, bright blue, extremely pigmented and come as large as a blush refill at 2.5g (most eyeshadow are at 1.8g). This German-based make-up line is used mostly for theater and film so they're pretty hardy!! They have stores at The Block at SM North, and Il Terrazo along Tomas Morato. Do go to look at their line of artnet brushes. Fabulous quality brushes cheaper than the Department store make-up brands.

Also I've taken a 35-hour Beauty and Bridal course at MUD. I'll write about the whole experience over the week!
