Yes, that's me in the picture above, I took it just a week or so after returning home from our trip to Argentina! We are expecting our first baby! And for that we feel tremendously grateful. Remember this post when I said that something took me by surprise and wanted to share more with you... well here it is!
It's been an amazing journey (even though it is not done yet) that fill our hearts with happiness every moment of the day.And makes us daydream about the future as new parents 'to be' giving us a sense of a new direction in life and a profound love for this little person who will join our family. A new experience, a new challenge, a new life.
With all these string of events happening around us, eating nourishing food wouldn't go unnoticed, on the contrary, we became even more aware of good nutrition. Which also led us to get more easily inspired and creative in the kitchen. So, for the most part exploring alternatives and improvising new ways of serving vegetables, grains and legumes have been making family mealtime more interesting and enjoyable for us. Sometimes we serve our legumes like this here and other times using chickpeas instead of lentils. Or simply giving a twist to this green juice, adding pineapple instead of the tomato and green apples - which tastes great with the ginger! One of my favorite beverage creations, yes, inspired by many times of juicing experimentation.
And so to continue this path of experimentation and new experiences in my life, visiting my family in Argentina on this special time was great. Yes, they totally spoiled me :) Here some photo-moments while we were there.We visited and re-visited some wonderful places, went sightseeing and enjoy the simplicity and beauty of laughter and conversation that comes so naturally after a late weekend lunch.
