It’s hard not to love the artful electropop creations of Salt Cathedral. The Brooklyn-based band has been perfecting their sound for a number of years and are really hitting their stride with the newest releases that will make up their upcoming EP. “Holy Soul”, the latest single, is yet again another intricate gem centered on the poised vocals of Juliana Ronderos. Intricate layering and production is the source of magic behind the song and sound of the band. It is the softly woven fabric of synths, tinkering percussion and booming beats that form a pulsating current of sound, entangling Ronderos’ swirling vocals. Ascending and descending with grace, the song uses dynamic changes as well as the addition and subtraction of various layers to create its magnetic push and pull. “Holy Soul” is just one of the fantastic songs to be found on their upcoming Oom Velt EP out on September 9th.
