There is nothing special about a new year within itself. It is just a regular ongoing natural spectrum of time, an inevitable unstoppable occurrence among us as we live day by day.
The only thing truly special about a new year is the fact that we are still here into the onset of the next 12 months to fulfill our purpose on the planet.
Every day that we have life is a new day to start fresh. Fresh in whatever brings us closer into our relationship with God and the newness of refreshing our spirits to the glorification of being made holy.
