Apparently, The Microjoule was built with carbon fiber with a design that supports heavily for saving fuel, that includes cutting down on comfortable seats and well.. sitting down. The vehicle only weigh 35 kg and it has won the first prize at the 2003 Shell European Eco-Marathon Contest.
“The car has an internal combustion engine and runs on ordinary fuel. It weighs 35 kg and is made entirely of carbon fiber. It offers very low rolling resistance and air resistance, and a very, very low drag coefficient. For example, when you spin the wheels, they will turn for several miles without ever stopping,” said a student about their project.

Actually, this car is so fuel efficient, you could even go around the world with just $26 worth of fuel. You just have to make sure you don’t fall asleep while driving the car laying down.
