The Grammy are upon us again, and like The Simpsons before us we are getting ready to discuss how wonderfully meaningless they actually are. Granted, being the only award show that fails to give out any awards (on air, there are like 150 Grammy categories in reality) it is pretty fun to see what the crazy people wear and watch all the really overblown performances. This year we will witness big huge starts like Katy Perry, Beyonce and Jay Z and T Swift preform– and also catch some probably interesting performances by Kendrick Lamar (who is great), Kacey Musgraves (who is also really great), Lorde (who we like) and of course Daft Punk (who will hopefully surprise us by just turning the Grammys into the Alive Tour 2014). A crazy melange of 90s awesome including Nine Inch Nails, Dave Grohl, Queens of the Stone Age and Lindsay Buckingham (…?) are closing out the show.
