We are thrilled to announce, with our partners at Consequence of Sound, the first annual Summer Camp. Taking place on Saturday, August 10, Summer Camp is part original video series, and part festival of intimate, stripped down performances. We’ve invited 6 of our favorite bands, CavemanYellow OstrichPearl and the BeardWidowspeakBelle Mare, and Vensaire, to be the counselors at our very own “summer camp”, a lakefront property just an hour north of New York City, where we’ll be spending the day enjoying our top summer camp activities: arts & crafts, pool party, waterfront, volleyball, boating, BBQ, talent show, and of course, an end of day bon fire (s’mores included).

While we wish everyone reading this could come, we unfortunately only have space for 100 “campers”, 21 and up only. The good news is that it’s free to RSVP, the only thing you’ll need to pay for is a Metro-North train ticket ($20). If spending a day at Summer Camp with Caveman, Yellow Ostrich, Pearl and the Beard, Widowspeak, Belle Mare, and Vensaire (plus free food, beer, Burt’s Bees, sound likes fun to you, head over to the RSVP and enter your info! We only ask for a name, number, age, and that you “like” both The Wild Honey Pie and Consequence of Sound on Facebook so that you’re up to date with all Summer Camp announcements. “Campers” will be randomly selected and announced by August 2.

Transportation

Summer Camp is taking place just an hour north of New York City. Metro-North makes it very easy to get to the closest train station from Grand Central. More info to come. Unfortunately we cannot allow people to drive to the property.

What’s the original video series?

In addition to it being a day of summer camp activities with our favorite bands and a few guests, Summer Camp is an original video series in which each of these activities is a different episode of the show. Stay tuned for the launch of the Summer Camp, coming by the end of the summer.

Made possible by

Mailchimp is an amazing email marketing platform.  They are one of the main reasons Summer Camp is happening. Also involved are Burt’s Bees, Steve’s Ice Cream, Justin’s, and Jack’s Chedbread. If you’re a camper, you’ll get to experience all of these first-hand in the form of their amazing products.  Burt’s Bees you already know and love but did you know they made great bug spray? That’ll be very helpful at Summer Camp. Are you a food fanatic? We have you covered with our favorite ice cream, nut butter, and cornbread companies all contributing. Last but not least, no music event would be worth it without an amazing beer sponsor. In our case, it’s Bronx Brewery.
