The Weeknd seems to be starting 2015 on a bad note. The Weeknd was arrested Saturday, January 10th in Las Vegas for allegedly punching a cop.

According to TMZ, the Canadian hitmaker was involved in a fight that started inside the Cromwell Hotel around 4:20 a.m.
Cops arrived at the scene and attempted to break up the brawl. During the scuffle, an officer pulled The Weeknd into an elevator before the 24-year-old singer allegedly punched him in the head.
The Weeknd, who was in town to perform at Drai’s Nightclub, was arrested and taken to jail for battery of a protected person. He was released on $2000 bail.
