Driven by acoustic guitar and recorded in the wake of his 1967 debut album’s commercial failure, ‘Let Me Sleep Beside You’ was the first track Bowie created with Tony Visconti on production duties. It was recorded as a proposed single, but it was rejected by Deram Records and didn’t see the light of day until it appeared on the 1970 compilation 'The World Of David Bowie'.
