The Unexpected Challenges of Vlogging in Makati: My Studio Shoot Adventure
By Jonathan Orbuda @ilovetansyong
Vlogging in the Philippines comes with its own set of unique challenges, as I recently discovered during a trip to Makati for a short VTR shoot. With my camera in hand and excitement in the air, I set out to find the studio, capturing the vibrant energy of the city along the way. However, my journey took an unexpected turn when a security guard halted my recording, stating, “Bawal yang ginagawa mo sir?” (What you're doing is prohibited, sir). Despite being in a public area, my vlogging was seen as a security threat, leaving me puzzled and curious about the rules governing public filming in the Philippines.
