The Slow Cooker: Mom's Best Friend
With a baby there is never enough time in the day. Whenever you have something that needs to be done you sometimes get side tracked tending to your little one. For example on Wednesday night when I forgot my last load of laundry was in the shared condo laundry and left it there until I remembered at 11pm! I am lucky no one stole it because my favorite Lulu Lemon pants were in that load! If you are a Mother you know how your days plans get all jumbled up most of the time.
But this post is not about how crazy babies make our lives :) It is about a wonderful time saving invention called THE SLOW COOKER! First off if you don't already own one you really should :) There are so many on line recipes for tons of different types of meals that you can prepare easily in a slow cooker. You can cook a whole small chicken in a slow cooker all you have to do is put it in and turn it on in the morning and TA DA! by the time you are ready to sit down for supper you have a wonderful home made meal that you made with very little effort.

I am not going to go into detail with specific recipes because LOL I really don't have the time :) but I will post some resources at the end of this post. My favorite thing to use my slow cooker for is boneless chicken breasts because it is very quick and easy, all I do is put the chicken into the slow cooker and add spices and/or bbq sauce and some water to cover the chicken and turn it on. Then when it is time for supper my meat is already cooked and I can prepare a quick side dish like potatoes, rice or veggies!
I love my slow cooker and could not live without it because someday's I really don't feel like cooking or just don't have the time. If you have any great slow cooker recipies that I should try please e-mail them to [email protected]
