It, too, appears to contain liquid blood. David has it tested at the university and it is the same blood type - AB negative. He has DNA testing done on both samples and they match. He tells Sarah of his discovery. He also tells her he is thinking of having the genetic material cloned. He briefly explains how it can be accomplished. Sarah is horrified at first, but then something comes over her - some very ancient and compelling urge. She tells him he’ll need a recipient - a woman - to carry the embryo to term. She asks him how he thinks he’ll carry that out. David says he doesn’t know. She asks him, what if it were me? David just looks at her for a long, long time.
