It seems that all NCCC teams here in Denver are on track to depart for our first round projects next Friday. That being said, disaster relief is one of the main focus areas of NCCC which means that there is a chance that we could be deployed to the east coast. Some people seem more convinced than others that we’ll be sent. There are two FEMA Corps teams on our campus originally from Vinton and they’re flying out tomorrow, but apparently only two teams have been sent from Vicksburg, which is way closer to the situation than we are. And of course this is just what we’ve gathered through the grapevine, nothing official.
Right now we just have to wait and see!
