My children and I have thoroughly enjoyed the first two books which take the reader through early American history adventures. First as a passenger on the Mayflower, and next as a participant in King Phillips War. These living books are carefully researched and skillfully written. Think Magic Tree House, but, for a slightly older crowd and without the wizardry.
The Salem Adventure continues this series! Join siblings Ginny and Finn as they return to the past once again to search for their parents. This time landing in Salem, Massachusetts during the time of the Salem Witch Trials. Throughout the book, Finn and Ginny interact with their own ancestors which brings an extra note of realism to this adventure. Fascinating facts and details of actual participants are woven into the plot. It is amazing to think of the first few issues that started the wheels in motion ending in mass hysteria.
