Just got a text from a friend who knows Ryan Vogelsong personally that said he's a Pirate now. I tried looking for sources, but found none. I haven't even heard any rumors of the Pirates talking to him, but I can't imagine my friend making stuff up like that.

This is the only thing I found that connects him to the Pirates today. I guess we'll find out soon enough.
I'm kinda getting antsy/excited about it. Not so much because I think he'll make our rotation the most lights out staff in the league, but the personal connection would be cool.
They have indeed signed him. A bit of a head scratcher though. The only thing that came to my mind is maybe they think he can be their own version of Joe Blanton.
