Women facing problems with fertility are basically unable to become pregnant after trying for one year or six months. Women who conceive but are unable to stay pregnant also belong to infertile group. In fact, pregnancy is the result of a process, which has several steps. To become pregnant:
- A woman should release an egg from her ovary
- The egg must go toward the uterus through the Fallopian tube
- The sperm of man should join with the women’s egg along the way
- The fertilized egg should attach to the inside of uterus
Infertility may take place if there is problem with any of these steps.
However, infertility has become a common problem in today’s world especially in Northern Beaches. About ten percent of women living in Northern Beaches falling between the age group of fifteen to forty-four have difficulty becoming or staying pregnant. But it is to be kept in mind that infertility is not always a woman’s problem. Men can even have problems. About 1/3rd infertility cases happen because of women and another 1/3rd because of men in Northern Beaches. Other cases are caused by both men and women or by some unknown problems.
However, here we have discussed about different kinds of problems that are related to women’s fertility in Northern Beaches.
There are many women who wait until their 30s and 40s to have children. In fact, a lot of women in Northern Beaches now have their first baby after 35. Thus, age has become a growing factor of fertility problems. Aging actually decreases the women’s chances of conceiving. Her ovaries become incapable of releasing too much of eggs. Smaller numbers of eggs are basically left and those are not even quite healthy. The woman is more likely to have miscarriage.
Most women even try to get pregnant for long but are unable to conceive. Experts suggest trying at least for a year. Women, who are 35 or above, are suggested to seek the assistance of doctors after trying for about six months. Chances of conceiving decrease quickly after attaining the age of 30. Health problems augment the risk of infertility. Women need to talk to their doctors if they have painful periods, irregular periods, and no menstrual periods at all, endometriosis, and have had miscarriage for more than one time or had a pelvic inflammatory disease.
However, it is always a good idea for a woman to talk to a doctor before getting pregnant. Doctors may suggest a visit to an acupuncturist for treatment if needed. In fact, a lot of women in Northern Beaches have been able to conceive successfully after being treated with acupuncture.
