The Parker Hotel
in Palm Springs is one photo opportunity after another.
Designed by Johnathon Adler in 2005with a design plan in his words to"Unite happiness and chic"
and
he has done just that! The Parker was previously the Merv Griffin Resort and Givenchy Spa.
It seems every corner you turnthere is more bright Palm Springs splendor.
This all made for the perfect opportunity to wear myTory Burch tunicemblazoned with crystals.I have had this tunic for yearsand it always speaks Palm Springs to me.Because of the heat I paired it with mywide and flowing white pants byArtleliar Nicole Miller. The fact that the pants are lined and widegives them them beautiful movement when walking.
The Parker was a perfect fit for myfor my extra wild Frank Olive straw hat.I wore my favorite Jeffrey Campbell white shoesand my summer staple straw bagthat originates form Africa.
The Parker lobby.
The bar lounge ...
complete with hanging chairs.
We ate at
Norma'sone of the Parker's two restaurantswhere breakfastthe most important meal of the dayis served all day.
Sitting down I was immediately taken withthe embroidered fabric placemats andAdler's salt and pepper shakersdesigned specifically for the property
I was a tad bit saddened to find they didn't sell these fabulous little sculpturesand
wondered how many must 'fly' out of there.
With the water deliverycame a 'smoothie shot'perfectly refreshing from the outside heat.
The popular resurgence of donutshas made it's way into Norma's as well. But here when you order themthey come freshly made and even warmserved with lemon custard and blubbery jam.
My favorite part of the Parkertheir groundswhere it seems around every tightly trimmed hedgeis another perfectly designed seating area!
Some seating areas complete with fire pits.
Seating is to be found
encircling the croquet field.
The scalloped umbrellashave me on a personal hunt now!Just so much style punch form one scalloped garden accessory!
The Lemonade Standwas another treat to be foundwinding through the living hedged walls.
So if you find yourself in Palm Springs
I have definitely added
'breakfast' at
The Parker
to my must do list!
As always my friends
I wish you love and joyas you style your life
