TAKEAWAY: It’s President Obama’s victory and we take a look at how the front pages and home pages presented the nail biting end of one of the US’s closest presidential elections.

By the time these front pages appeared with the big headlines, photos and exclamation points, almost everyone knew that Barack Obama would serve a second term as President of the United States, but, while the online editions we show here, including The New York Times, went all out with bigger than usual headlines, it is those printed newspaper front pages that will be saved by so many as mementos of the 2012 Election.

These are some of those front pages that caught our eye, and, one very special magazine cover from Bloomberg Businessweek, which captured it all in one image!  The majority of the front pages here are courtesy of the Newseum. You may visit its website to see a full collection of front pages from around the world: http://www.newseum.com
