The National Get Dark with ‘demons’ [video]

The National gear up for their highly anticipated record, Trouble Will Find Me, with the release of the lead single, “Demons.”  Unlike our favorites on High Violet, “Demons” feels much less contrived; possessing a jam-band like feel. While Berninger’s vocals hold the track together (more weighted than ever), the chorus finds hope through acceptance of misery, “I stay down with my demons, and I stay down with my demons.” It’s in that moment of Berninger’s realization, the track blooms.  Listen above to the first cut off of Trouble Will Find Me, “Demons.”
