‘You need to get out there and meet people even if you don’t enjoy it. I used to do it and that’s how I met him.’ She elbowed me as I bit in to my burger. ‘Even when I met him, I had no idea we would end up together.’
I nodded in agreement as I continued to chew.
‘Yeah, I thought he was that typical, spoiled, superficial and pretentious bloke. But he knew people so I figured he’d introduce me to Mr. Right!’
I began to choke on my food as a wave of surprise blanketed me.
‘What?’ I spluttered.‘Yeah, I thought you would introduce me to other guys.’
My eyes widened in shock to which she responded with;
‘What? I wasn't going to tell you that was I?’‘But, you Just Did!’
She shrugged and continued coaching her friend!
