We simply could not resist sharing with you today one of the most beautiful engagement sessions we have seen! Mercedes, the stylish bride-to-be is planning her destination wedding in Santorini: “Location and venue really set the vibe for the entire wedding and we wanted our guests to enjoy the beauty of the island the same way we did when we first visited Santorini. For inspiration, we used Pinterest a lot, but I actually found that Chic and Stylish Weddings had a lot more options for weddings in Santorini. Pinterest tends to show the same few weddings in Greece, but Chic & Stylish had a much wider variety of weddings featured. It was really helpful when narrowing down color schemes and locations! Because the Greek islands are so unique and beautiful in their own right, we wanted to make sure we chose a concept that flattered the beauty of Santorini, rather than clashed. I even chose my wedding dress with the bold whites and blues of Santorini in mind!”

From the bride-to-be: “We are going to get married at Rocabella Hotel, in Santorini. Since we are having the ceremony in the church, it was important to us to choose a reception location that had an open outdoor space and a gorgeous view of the caldera… Evita at Santorini Glam Weddings has also been beyond helpful with narrowing down vendors that she has worked with in the past, and providing links and images of their work.”

“We chose to do a two part engagement shoot, and selected our locations in order to showcase the beauty of our home state, California. For the first part of the shoot, we loved the idea of glamour juxtaposed with the rustic feel of Malibu Creek State Park, and we celebrated with my favorite champagne. I was an actress as a child, and I always loved dressing up, so this part was really fun for me! We wanted to do the second part of our shoot by the ocean, and chose to finish at El Matador State Beach at sunset.”

“My fiancé and I met during our senior year of college. It was pretty unusual – my friends and I had rented a house at the beach, and it had a garage that was converted into a studio apartment. It was quite the bachelor pad – even the garage door still worked! None of us wanted to live in the studio, and so the search began for a fourth housemate. Jimmy moved in and we immediately discovered that we shared the same favorite authors, musicians, movies, and passion for food and travel – and the rest is a history!”, the bride-to-be shared with us.

“He surprised me last Labor Day weekend with a beautiful proposal and a romantic trip to The Langham in Pasadena. Three days later, we left for a whirlwind vacation through Europe! We went to five countries – Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic. We absolutely love experiencing new places, and it was so amazing being able to celebrate our engagement by traveling the world together.”
