About

Virginia’s finest folk band, The Last Bison, sure knows how to light up a crowd. Their set at our 3rd anniversary show last December rivaled any I’ve witnessed since starting The Wild Honey Pie — their charisma, their energy, their love of the art they create. This is a band that truly knows who they are, and more importantly, what they want their music to say.

The family band’s love of one another is infectious and gushing with enthusiasm and excitement, something that’s made very clear in these Buzzsession videos for their tracks “Switzerland” and “Sandstone”. Watch both videos below and download the exclusive tracks for free using our Soundcloud embed.

‘Buzzsessions’ is a live session series made by The Wild Honey Pie.  With each new episode, we travel with a different band to a different part of New York City and record sometimes-intimate/sometimes-wild versions of two or three songs.  This Buzzsession was shot at Degraw Sound, a Brooklyn recording studio on the Park Slope/Gowanus border, owned and operated by producer/engineer/musician Ben Rice (BlackbellsThe Mooney Suzuki).  Interested in booking time there?  Click here.
