The King Of The Island (Il Re Dell'Isola) is a film directed by Raimondo Della Calce. Gioannini, a 6 year old boy from Genoa, is longing for his father, a sailor who went missing at sea. This lonely and timid boy imagines that his father is alive and has become the king of an exotic island. When one day Gioannini's dad comes back, he isn't the heroic figure the boy had always imagined. He is even more than that.
