Straying from gimmicky production and focusing on natural instrumentation, The Jezabels (@thejezabels) always manage to craft a completely unique sound with their arrangements and melodies. In fact, this band is one of the few that truly caught and held my attention over the past year. The first release from their upcoming album Prisoner, out September 16, epitomizes this concept. “Endless Summer”, opening with beating, rolling percussion and a sharp guitar tone, quickly launches into a well-crafted melody and the perfect balance between roaring guitars, keyboard accents, and creative drumming.
