THE JAPANESE HOUSE’S HAUNTING AND HEARTBREAKING ‘STILL’ [STREAM] Pause The Japanese House – Still SoundCloud

The Japanese House was one of those artists who seemed to magically appear out of thin air, grabbing the last hottest new record slot during Zane Lowe’s final week at BBC Radio 1. “Still”, a collaborative production with members of The 1975, has a familiar atmospheric and experimental quality, but teenage vocalist Amber Bain takes control from there, texturing her heartbreaking lyrics through a vocoder and haunting synthesized effects. She’s since released “Pools to Bathe In” and “Teeth”, keeping a relative mystery behind The Japanese House that will have you begging to hear more.
