The Jacket: Spring Edition

By Hollysbeautybox @hollysbeautybox
Spring is officially on our doorsteps which means my wardrobe is in desperate need of being updated from having Christmas jumpers galore, to being filled with a few key pieces that will keep me looking chic for Spring and Summer.
The Jacket: Spring Edition
This jacket is from Asos Curve (as a lot of the items I wear are!).  Available in sizes 18-28 and priced at £55, this is a lace broderie style jacket with an asymmetrical zip fastening.  It is collarless and has a boxy shape. The material is hard, which means it can make any outfit look well tailored rather than as if you've just thrown something on.
Personally, my favorite way to wear this is with skinny jeans, a draped chiffon top, a long necklace, and low heels or boots. My Zara City Office bag is nicely teamed with this too. If I were to wear this with a skirt, I would recommend a midi length peplum or structured pencil skirt with a camel faux suede top tucked in. Such a gorgeous combo!
The Jacket: Spring Edition
I love wearing this open because the jacket is quite short. I find anything above hip height cuts me in half and accentuates my hips. It also can look a bit 'off' if what you're wearing underneath it is a lot longer than the jacket itself. The difference in hem heights can often prove to look 'messy' rather than well put together.
What is your favorite jacket for Spring Summer 2016? You can order this one here.
