Wireless carriers At&T, Verizon and others have seen their revenue soar. 2nd quarter revenue for the industry has grown from $5.2 billion in 2007 to over $17 billion in 2012. A very interesting part of the revenue growth is the "upgrade" revenue, yearly iPhone releases spur. Take a look at this chart:
