The Incurables: Inside Out & Backwards

Detroit garage punk quartet The Incurables have been a racket for a couple of decades, playing a spicy mix of melodic power pop (When I Grow Up), hard-hitting psychedelica (Someday, Funhouse) and basic rock 'n' roll (Far Away). On their latest album Inside Out & Backwards they keep it short - none of the tracks is over 4 minutes, but they managed to fill nearly each one of them with choice breaks and their signature vocal harmonizing.

If there is a fountain of youth, these guys have found it. Brace yourself for an invigorating half an hour of songs about wanting to be loved, sparkling lemonade, and having a ball in general. Imagine Cheap Trick having a hell of a party with the Ramones, with the Monkees and the Clash trying to get in. To be played at top volume.

The Incurables:
Darrin Lawson: vocals, drums, piano, percussion
Pat Kelly: vocals, guitar, piano
Ray Lawson: vocals, bass, xylophone
Dennis Pepperack: vocals, guitar
