The Importance Of Vacation Frequency

Everybody loves to get away now and again to unwind and escape their normal humdrum lives. But did you actually realise that getting away and taking a vacation every now and then should actually play a crucial part in your life. Not only is taking a break from your 9 to 5 work routine vital in helping to keep your stress levels down but also it can have an extremely positive effect on your health and overall wellbeing.

How often have you returned to the office after a holiday feeling refreshed, revitalised and ready to tackle anything that is thrown at you? Of course we all go through the typical post-holiday blues but we are still generally happier and healthier. Now according to research it appears that this end of holiday lift actually is quite short-lived. This positivity and happiness soon begins to fade and within just two weeks the likelihood is that you'll be back to normal possibly feeling stressed and tired yet again, and of course finding yourself sitting around daydreaming and counting down the days until your next holiday.

The Importance Of Vacation Frequency

So it may appear that taking a long well-earned holiday away from it all has major benefits both physically and psychologically for employees but there's no need to be down hearted by this research. Even though not vacationing at all could save you money in the long term it is not recommended as the stresses and struggles of your working life will simply accumulate over time. It appears that frequency holds the key. For those who take more frequent time off from work and actually take various breaks, no matter how short, throughout the year that seem happier in the workplace.

On average a French worker is allowed 30 days of paid vacation, which is one of the highest amounts for workers across Europe. Allowing staff to take more time off could have great benefits for the companies in question themselves. Research and analysis already suggests that those who work shorter hours are often associated with higher output. So are these 40 hour working weeks we're now so used to actually having a negative impact for both employees and employers alike?

Forget sitting at your desk and playing your mobile-based free roulette game. Instead take a break at a popular casino resort. Don't just daydream about a weekend away at the beach, relaxing and soaking up the sun, actually plan it. There's no need to fly off and have a big expensive holiday. Just taking a weekend every now and then to actually relax and recharge your batteries could make all the difference to your working life.
