The Importance of Making a Will

Although it is not a pleasant subject, making a will is something everyone needs to consider and take care of. It is even more important to do when you have children.
When it comes to such subjects that revolve around death, we tend to put them off thinking "there is plenty of time", yet we are not sure of the outcomes of not making a w ill.
By making a proper will, you will be able to decide what happens to your possessions after you die. At the same time you will be able to provide for your family/friends and they will have one less thing to worry about in such a distressing time.
Many people deal with will disputes after losing a loved one.Making a will provides you the opportunity to put your wishes on paper which will then avoid unnecessary discussions. It is particularly important to make a will if you are not married or not in a registered civilpartnership.
On the other hand,making a will is not just about finances. It is also about arranging guardians for your children and you can also declare who gets what possession. It is sensible to do these things whilst you are in good health, both physically and mentally. No one knows what is around the corner so it is good be prepared,just in case.
If there is not a will, then the law decides who gets what. This might mean that your family might get less then you or they expected. Also, if there is no written will, then your family  or frıends have to sort out everything which can be very hard on them. 
If you have already written a will, you might want to consider reviewing it as in times and situations change. Even more important to do so, if you have children or grandchildren or marry or get divorced.
