The trio is made up of Dean on lead vocals, Wayne on guitar/keyboard, and Stephen on piano/keyboard. The talent among these amazing men is immeasurable. Dean's voice draws you in with this unique, pitch perfect talent, and the music itself just smoothly runs through each lyric like they were perfectly tailored to be together. I'm not Defeated should be featured on commercials, movies, TV shows, or something! I should be hearing it every time I turn on my radio. We need something new in the States and these boys have exactly what we are craving. Their video for I'm not Defeated can be found on youtube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgsHXcadBfM. From the research I've found via SoundCloud and their website http://www.theikonics.com/, they have only been formed a little over a year ago, although it sounds like they have been playing together for years. They are influenced from anything like R&B, pop, to the late 70's and early 80's music. Fleetwood Mac and the Smiths are big ones for the guitarist, which may be why he's such a great guitar player. Throw in a little Elton John/Rock n' Roll from a classically trained pianist, then you have got yourselves The iKonics.

I cannot talk their music up more, you just have to listen for yourselves. We need to shout from the rooftops and call on our local radio stations to start playing their music. We need to make sure they are getting the airplay that they deserve. Their songs are made for all types of music lovers and Dean's voice is the most beautiful voice I've ever heard. I bet you even Simon Cowell would have no harsh words or critiques for him and that is saying something! They already have many hits, they are just yet to be discovered. A group like this does not stay on the sidelines very often, these men were made for the spotlight. Please check them out.
