On Tuesday, I filled out application after application.
For my new apartment.
In Kerrisdale.
This is basically the most exciting news for me since Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis broke up.
It's a 1-bedroom, 2nd floor apartment for $950 a month. On the pricey side, but I'm rooming with someone I haven't spoken to since elementary. But she comes with free furniture (her mom's moving to the States to live with her dad) and she was super friendly when we met up to hunt down apartments.
The good part of living in Kerrisdale is that I'm only a 20 minute bus ride from UBC. The bad part is that I'm completely unfamiliar with the area.
Also our landlord is pretty strict. No parties... unless she's invited? (She's kidding.) (I think.)
A small housewarming gathering of close friends is fine though, probably, hopefully, we'll be vewy vewy quiet (and not hunting wabbits).
Oh man, I'm not looking forward to job hunting again though. But now that I have more experience, it should be easier, right?
P.S. I'm extremely happy with my schedule this coming school session. And I think I've figured out what I wanna do with my Arts degree. Maybe.
