"The Greatest" Has Left Us - Muhammad Ali Dies

Posted on the 04 June 2016 by Jobsanger

Muhammad Ali died on Friday in a Phoenix hospital. He was 74 years old. He did "float like a butterfly and sting like a bee" in his boxing career -- and was undoubtably the greatest heavyweight fighter I've ever seen. But he was more. He was a man of conscience. He had his career interrupted, and was in danger of going to prison, for refusing to be inducted into the military during the Vietnam War. Fortunately, the Supreme Court ruled that he had a religious right to that refusal -- and that decision helped not only him but many others. As both a great boxer and a great human being, he will be missed.
