The Great Escape just released their new self-produced, self-titled debut album and it certainly packs a punch — particularly the second track, “Rebel”. Immediately, Amie Miriello’s raspy, stunning vocals smack you in the face and then continue to tumble around in your head as they mix with a seriously sexy brass section and some titillating guitar from Malte Hagemeister. The song takes you on a heartfelt musical journey where you’ll laugh, cry, and everything in between. Well, probably not, but in the very least you’ll have the overwhelming desire to dance.
