The Glorious Sons: Young Beauties & Fools

Records execs love rock bands like The Glorious Sons. The Kingston, Ontario quintet make radio-friendly AOR about feeling insecure and a little lost, while trying to sound tough and being on top of things.

Their second album Young Beauties & Fools fails in the "I just want something I can ignore" category when asked what kind of music you might need right now. They have been nominated for a JUNO Award for Rock Album of the Year, a sign that all is not well for guitar music in Canada at the moment. Recommended if you like Mumford & Sons posing as rockers.

The Glorious Sons:
Brett Emmons: vocals
Jay Emmons: guitar
Chris Koster: guitar
Adam Paquette: drums
Chris Huot: bass
