King's Lynn indie rockers The Extons are not the first to write a song about the shallowness that comes with painting a false and optimistic picture of one's online presence, but their new single Social Media has enough grit to leave a lasting impression, with a crunchy guitar solo to boot. The lyrics don't beat around the bush and damn the toxity of applying ready-made filters to create a shine that is not real. It is a piece of melodic Britpop for millenials of all ages.
