The Evil Within is still censored in Japan, even after applying the “Gore Mode” DLC.
Prior to The Evil Within’s launch, we learned that it will be censored in Japan, removing gore and dismemberment form the game. We also learned that a DLC called “Gore Mode” would allow you re-enable them if you download it, this doesn’t appear to be the case.
Famitsu reports (Via Kotaku) that even after applying the DLC, the game is not the same as the Western version. You can check out the images through the link.
