The Easy Tip Series - One tip to help authors and artists become better social media users and sell more!

A few days ago, I blogged about TweetDeck and how useful it is to uncover gems on Twitter.

I also mentioned that TweetDeck allows you to monitor conversations around your name and work, and what people share from your blog or website. This is what we call social media listening / monitoring.

People who talk about you on social media are not just aware of your existence. They also find your content, art or books worthy enough to "vouch" for it.

Social media listening allows you to:

  • Humanize your social media presence by taking part in conversations
  • Gain precious insights into your ideal audience
  • Catch problems, complaints, and questions - and address them accordingly
  • Create a community of super fans, who will then spread the word about you

Who wouldn't want to take advantage of that?

Some additional tools to help you monitor conversations about your name, art and books include Google Alerts, Mention, Talkwalker, and more!

Now, go and engage with your audience and let me know what you discovered! 🙂
