It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and Indie-pop Austinites The Eastern Sea (@theeasternsea) have had quite the eventful year to celebrate. Between the release of their debut album, Plague, and a subsequent tour, they’ve found time to record another release just before the holidays. Yes, we all know that most holiday music can be a bit obnoxious, but that’s not at all the case with First Christmas. Whether each track is a well-established holiday classic or an original, they’ve put their signature on every song with folky, finger-picked guitars, dominant percussion parts, and Hines’ distinctive vocals backed with glowing harmonies.
